STRUCTURE FIRE/WILDFIRE PARTICULATES

Structure fire and wildfire events are prevalent and happen in our communities.  There fire events can cause communities that are proximally located to the fire devastation to be concerned with the quality of the air which distributes structure fire/wildfire-related particulate in fire-damaged structures and nearby unburned homes.

The services provided by PES include but are not limited to:

  • STRUCTURE FIRE PARTICULATE INVESTIGATIONS

    • Initial investigation and assessment of project sites for presence of visible fire damage

      • Assess and scope areas of soot generation and dispersal of structure fire particulate

      • Collection of samples from structural materials and contents for carbonized material contamination (soot, char and ash)

      • Source identification of carbonized particulates contamination

    • Inspection report of findings

  • WILDFIRE PARTICULATE INVESTIGATIONS

    • Initial inspection and assessment of project sites for the presence of visible wildfire-related particulate char, ash and soot

    • Collection of samples to determine the concentration of wildfire-related particulate inside and outside the home on the project site

    • Inspection report of findings
